New Term Coined

Fatwa Envy.
This is what a Christian feels when he perceives that someone has slighted his religion, and he wants to lash out and demand respect for his beliefs, but he’s held back by his remembrance that he and his own fellow believers have already ridiculed and denounced the entire Muslim faith for doing exactly that. So he’s left with no recourse but to turn the other cheek.

Of course, it does nothing to fix the common misperception that fatwa means “death sentence.”
