Another Not-a-Terrorist

Man had parts for a pipe bomb in his luggage.

In an affidavit, FBI agent Kelly Boaz said two galvanized pipes, end caps with holes drilled in them, two prescription bottles containing air gun pellets, a model rocket igniter, batteries, lighters, lighter fluid and two bottles of nitromethane were found in Brown’s luggage.

I’m not saying that this guy was a terrorist, but if he’d been Arab, of Arab descent, conversant in Arabic, or a Muslim, I bet you the word terror would have appeared in the article.

My point, as always, is that reporting like this makes it really hard to refute arguments like “Arabs/Muslims are responsible for almost all the terrorism in the world today.” Because when you do a search on “terror,” stories like this don’t show up in your results.
